Reception

My BlogThe ceremony and the reception are both being held at Leez Priory.

This page is more to specify timings, where to find the menu and to hopefully answer all the other questions which may be going through your minds.

Ceremony. 2.00 pm - Saturday 7th August 2010

My BlogOur ceremony starts at 2 pm - this is in the main Court Yard. The main door to Leez will be closed off till after the ceremony as this is where it will take place and as such you will have to enter at the door around the corner to your left upon arrival. (obviousy the lovely Ushers will help guide you).

Photography is allowed at any times (apart from those sensitive few moments when the actual blessing takes place but the Registrar will let you know regarding this.

We do have our own photographer but know that many have a trigger happy finger and as such would not want to deny them the use of this.

Paper confetti is not allowed as this will be held outside, you are however permitted to throw as many dried flowers and such as you can.

Following the ceremony we invite you to join us on the lawn for a came of crouqette, a few glasses of pimms and some canapes.

Reception. 4.00 pm - Saturday 7th August 2010

My BlogThe reception starts around 4.00 pm - or close by. There will be speeches, songs and hopefully lots of laughter and joy.

The menu can be found on the Secondary menu tab - there is a Vegetarian option as well so please just make note of that on the reply card along with other dietary requests.

Evening Guests . 8.00 pm - Saturday 7th August 2010

My BlogEvening Guests are invited to join us at 7.30 pm and onwards to 12.00 pm. The Bar serve the last order at that point however as Leez has a lovely night portier we do encourage those who wish to stay behind to get an extra drink or 2 out before they close, as you are more than welcome to stay in the lounges to enjoy drinks after midnight.

There will of course be a disco with lots of laughter, fun, dancing and such forth. If anyone has a special request to make to add an entry to the song list please

authorIn 1220, having travelled throughout England in a quest for the perfect location to found his monastery, Sir Ralph Gernon stumbled across the little hamlet of Leez in a dip by the banks of the River Ter and knew he need look no further.

His Augustinian Priory thrived for over 300 years, until Sir Richard Rich, sent by King Henry VIII, sacked the Priory and a short time later built his own Great House on the site today known as Leez Priory
